Family Chef

Cooking Education for Families

A structured cooking programme designed to bring the whole family together in the kitchen. Family Chef takes everything learned in Little Chefs and Junior Chefs and builds it into real collaborative family cooking — teaching families to plan, prepare, and share complete meals together. This is where individual skill becomes shared confidence, and cooking becomes a genuine family experience.

What's Included:

✓ 6 video-guided recipe lessons
✓ Printable skill sheets, one per module
✓ Fun end-of-module quizzes
✓ Family guidance notes

Who is Family Chef For?

Family Chef is designed for families who want cooking to become a shared experience, not just another task divided between one parent and one child at a time. It is for the household that wants mealtimes to bring everyone together — building teamwork, communication, and genuine collaboration around food.

Whether your children have already completed Little Chefs and Junior Chefs, or you're starting fresh as a family, Family Chef provides a clear structure for cooking together — turning individual skill into shared confidence, and everyday meals into something the whole family builds together.

We've never been a "cooking family." Now Sunday afternoon is the family cook-up. The kids fight over who gets to choose the recipe. It's become the best part of our week.

Lifelong Cooking Skills for Every Age

We move beyond "help" to "mastery," teaching children and parents alike the professional techniques required to feel truly confident in the kitchen.

Workshop-Style Collaboration

Learn the "brigade system" of a professional kitchen — understanding teamwork, communication, and the delegation of responsibility.

Nutritious Family Foundations

Build a collective understanding of food education, moving from simple recipes to healthy, balanced meals that the whole family is proud to serve.

Established Shared Routines

Create a lasting weekly ritual that prioritises connection and competence over the daily dinner rush.

Mealtimes, Reimagined

At the Kids Cooking Academy, we believe that when a family cooks together with intention, the result is more than just a meal — it is a foundation of shared confidence. We help you move from the chaos of the "dinner rush" to the disciplined, nurturing environment of a family workshop.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which programme should I start with?

Pick by age. If your child is 4 to 10, start with Little Chef. 11 to 16, Junior Chef. If you want to cook together as a whole family, Family Chef is built for that. Not sure? Try the free 5-Day Kickstarter Challenge first and see how your child takes to it.

Are these live classes or self-paced?

Self-paced. You and your child work through the lessons whenever it suits — a Saturday morning, a homeschool block, a quiet evening.

Do I need fancy equipment?

No. Every programme is designed around standard kitchen tools you probably already have. We will flag anything specific in advance.

Can I buy one programme and upgrade later?

Absolutely. If you start with Little Chef and want to add Junior Chef later, you will only pay the difference. Email hello@foodandnutrition.academy and we will sort it.
