Enrollment Now Open - Secure Your Place in our Kids Cooking Academy
The free, teacher-designed challenge that gives your child real kitchen skills,
real confidence, and a real sense of achievement — one recipe and one badge at a time.
You are not alone if you have thought:
"They're too young to do this safely."
"I don't have time to plan cooking lessons from scratch."
"They're a picky eater — I don't want another mealtime battle."
Most children want to cook. They just need someone to show them how — properly.
The 5-Day Kickstarter Challenge is not a recipe blog. It is not a one-off YouTube tutorial.
It is a complete, structured five-day cooking education experience — built on the same professional standards used in outstanding UK food and nutrition classrooms — delivered directly to your family, completely free.
Every day your child receives a new recipe, a new skill to master, and a new achievement rank to unlock. By Day 5 they will have built a real foundation in the kitchen — and the confidence to prove it.
"Everything you need is ready to download instantly
— no prep, no stress, just open and start cooking with your child straight away"
HOW IT WORKS
Four simple steps. Five days. A lifetime of confidence.
Pop your email in and get instant access to everything — recipes, videos, slide decks, planner, podcast, and your free Story Book.
Each day brings a new recipe, a new skill, and a new video to follow. Your child leads. You support. The lesson waits for them — Learn at their own pace.
Complete the daily Achievement Planner, colour in the badge, and pass the Skill Checkpoint quiz to unlock the next day.
Complete all five days and unlock the Graduation Pack - a certificate, bonus activities, and an invitation to continue the Academy journey.
A short, visual guide to each foundational kitchen skill — designed specifically for young learners. Clear, colourful, and easy to follow before your child starts cooking. No reading required for younger children — the visuals do the work.
Step-by-step recipe tutorial videos your child can follow along with at their own pace. Pause, rewind, repeat — the lesson waits for them. No rushing, no pressure, just real learning at the right speed.
A short quiz at the end of each day to reinforce what was learned and unlock the next module. Children don't just cook — they understand what they've done and why it matters. This is what turns a recipe into a life skill.
A beautifully designed printable Achievement Book where your child tracks their progress, records what they've learned, and earns their achievement rank with every completed recipe.
A fun, educational audio companion to the challenge — perfect for the car, the kitchen, or winding down. Food facts, cooking tips, and nutrition knowledge delivered in a way children actually enjoy listening to.
Recipe Cards — beautifully designed, kid-friendly recipe cards for every day of the challenge
Nutrition Infographic — visual, child-friendly guides to why food matters

Every recipe is age-appropriate, safety-checked, and allergen-aware. Every skill builds on the last. Every resource is designed to be used by a child independently — with a parent nearby, not doing it for them.
No cost. No commitment. No experience needed.
Just your family, your kitchen, and five days of real kitchen confidence your child will carry for life.
Takes 30 seconds to sign up. Day 1 arrives immediately.
As soon as you sign up, your first lesson is delivered straight away — no waiting. Just check your inbox (and spam folder, just in case) for your welcome email with everything you need to begin.
It's designed for children aged 4–16, with tasks that scale to your child's ability. Younger children will need more hands-on support; older children can work more independently.
Not at all. The Academy is designed for real-world, practical application in a standard family kitchen. Every programme is built around the essential tools you likely already have — basic mixing bowls, measuring spoons, and standard cookware. Our Parents' Quick-Start Guide helps you organise your existing workspace for safe, structured learning.
Yes. Every curriculum is developed with the pedagogical rigour of a professional classroom by an experienced food educator and 2007 Teacher of the Year nominee. Our courses follow a clear, structured progression that covers technical kitchen literacy, food science, and nutritional health — making the Academy an ideal choice for homeschooling families.
The Kids Cooking Academy is dedicated to providing an inclusive learning experience where every child can flourish. Because we follow a model of Structured Progression rather than a one-size-fits-all curriculum, our lessons are highly adaptable through simplified task breakdowns, visual guides, and age-staged pathways — ensuring every learner, including those with additional needs, can build real-world competence at their own pace.
No, all Academy recipes are designed with real families in mind — nutritious and highly affordable. We prioritise standard ingredients and basic kitchen tools to ensure building culinary competence is accessible to every household. The Learning Library also provides specialised budget-friendly recipe guides and meal-planning tools.
Yes. The Challenge is self-paced, so you can complete each day whenever suits your family. There's no deadline and no pressure to keep to a strict schedule.
Our rule is simple: parents supervise, children lead. Younger children will need closer support, particularly around heat and knife skills, while older children can work more independently under general supervision.
Day 5 is the Graduation Challenge — your child chooses their own dish, using at least one skill they've learned during the week. Once complete, they'll receive an Academy Certificate and skill badges to mark their achievement.
